Is 55:11, Eph. 1:18-21
God is unlimited. It cannot be stated more clearly or emphatically than that. Though it is
tempting to approach God as if He were a man. The Bible clearly says God is not a man. He is
holy – set apart from all creation. He is incomparable, transcendentally separate, and infinitely
above everything He created. He is supreme, infinite, immortal and immutable. All His creation
put together cannot thwart His purposes (Ps. 95:3). He is judged by no one and has absolute
authority over the entire universe and everything in it (Ps.115:3). His sovereignty is revealed in
His Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence. He knows all things. He sees through all
things and darkness is naked before Him. He can do all things and nothing hard for Him to do.
The human perception of what is hard or impossible reflects our limitation in knowledge,
wisdom, and power. God does not share these limitations. He is supremely above all limitations
we can imagine. It is such limitlessness that make Him unfathomable for our limited minds. He
has more than a million ways to accomplish His purposes when we cannot perceive one. He
issues boundless possibilities. He has all dominion and authority, and no power or being can
hinder Him. It is illogical to question Him or doubt Him. We experience the joy of being His
children is when we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal His unlimited glory. This is how we
experience the supernatural possibilities that He has made available to us in Christ. All He asks
is that we trust Him and draw from His unlimitedness by faith to see Him move on our behalf.
