ARRESTING THE ARRESTERS

ARRESTING THE ARRESTERS

ACTS 9:1-5

Saul studied under the Greek scholar , Gamaliel and was from the city of Tarsus. He was a much feared man and was personally responsible for the death and persecution of many believers. His conversion was so powerful that he received a new name, Paul the apostle. He wrote about one half of the New Testament. He was persecuting Christians – anyone who believed in Christ – “who belonged to the way” until God knocked him down and arrested him.

Arresters can be people who are envious of your achievement, enemies of progress or family foes
Brethren, challenges may come in form of physical sickness, financial lack, job loss, family struggles, abuse in lives, wayward children, barrenness, miscarriages, delay in getting married and more. Some of the wounds are caused by friendly fire in the battle for our people’s souls from gossip, backbiting, and others.

Our Bible text for today shows that your enemies are also the enemies of God if He is on your side. Acts 9:5 reads “And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks”. When they persecute us, they persecute Jesus. He feels our pain. After Saul was arrested by God, he started preaching Christ in the Churches and everywhere. Act 9:20 says “And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God”. If we will work for Christ we should get busy doing so now regardless of opposition and not wait for a more convenient season.

May your arresters be arrested today in Jesus Mighty Name.

PRAYER POINT: Father, please arrest every arrester of my progress today.
