HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY

HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY

PROVERBS 31

Happy Mothers’ Day to all mothers and mothers to be. I pray that you will live long in good health to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You will sit down and play UNO, Puzzles, Dominoes etc with your great grandchildren in Jesus Mighty Name.

Beloved, mothers do a lot of the most important job in the world and their work is most valuable. The same tribute also should extend to ladies who never may have had a child of their own, but have devoted hours and years helping care for and teach the kids of others. Hannah, the mother of Samuel, dedicated him to the Lord, and God honored her request by using him in the Ministry of God. Jochebed, the mother of Moses, demonstrated a wonderful story of a mother’s love and sacrifice for her son. Timothy’s grandmother Lois and mother Eunice thought Him of the Lord and was noticed by Apostle Paul and many others in his life. Salome, the wife of Zebedee, the mother of James and John requested in Mat 20:21, ” Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom”. She wanted her boys to excel in the Kingdom of God. I declare that caring for a family and raising children and grandchildren is the most noble calling in the world. Mothers fit in to many roles as nutritionist, educator, Nurse, maid, counselor, peacemaker, entertainer, transportation center and many more. We must appreciate and thank mothers every day. They are precious gift from God.

Children of the Most High God, an attempt to put a price tag on the value of a good wife and mother, will conclude with Proverb 31:10, “She is worth far more than rubies.” If you sum up all that a mother does in a day or week, it would read similarly to the exhaustive list in Proverb 31. The wise advice after such a discovery would be Proverb 31:28, “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her”. The bottom line would read as Proverb 31:31, “Give her the reward she has earned.”

On this Mothers’ Day, children, give your mothers not only flowers, hugs and kisses but affection, attention, acknowledgement, affirmation and appreciation.

HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!

PRAYER POINT: My Father and my Lord, bless every mother and every grandmother with the finest of your spiritual blessings today.
