HAPPY THANKSGIVING SUNDAY

HAPPY THANKSGIVING SUNDAY

Welcome to the month of June 2018, the sixth month of the year and the month of the 11th Anniversary of our home Church – RCCG Abundant Life Chapel, Columbus, Ohio. The number 6 is a symbol of completeness. beauty and high ideals.

Beloved, we read in Exodus 3:13-14 of the great discussion between God and Moses at the beginning of his assignment to deliver the Israelites from the oppression of Pharaoh and the Egyptians. “Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; a between God and Moses and they shall say to me, what is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

“I AM” is the expression of what God is, the sum of His being and the greatest of all His names. He is the eternal, self-existent Being who only can say that He always will be what He always has been. He is El Shaddai – “the almighty all-powerful God”. The one and only God who can see, hear and know the condition of His people. Praise God, He is still the same yesterday, today and forever, because He sees your need and He hears your prayers. The reality of His name to the individual believer is that God is to each person what that person needs at that point in time.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, God knew ahead of time that the children of Israel would be in this predicament and prepared Moses for the assignment. He was God’s chosen vessel, protected by the hand of the Almighty when all other male children were being killed. The great “I am” is an all-knowing God. God has been preparing you, members of the Abundant Life Family for some roles in ministry all your life. One of the roles is to win souls for Him in the northern part of Columbus, Ohio and environments. We should all realize that the “I am” dwells in us who believe. John 15:5 says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Brethren, we Christians like Moses have a commission from Jesus. Jesus says in Matthew 28:18-20, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” God is calling with the same promise He made to Moses at the burning bush “to go and that He would be with him”. Let’s go a fishing, children of the Most High God!

WELCOME TO OUR ANNIVERSARY MONTH AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING SUNDAY.

PRAYER POINT: My Father and my Lord, let me have a passion for lost souls that your commission might be uppermost in my mind always.
