EPHESIANS 6:12
Beloved children of the Most High God, we sometimes wonder why life becomes “harder” since we accepted Christ in to our lives and started coming to Church or that our lives are falling apart when we gave our lives to God and decided to serve God or that live was much easier before we started coming to Church. From the headline news and daily happenings around us, we must realize more than ever before that we are in a battle in this life. The fact is that whether we are saved or not we are in the middle of a spiritual warfare. The time you accept Christ as Lord and Savior is the exact moment you decided to switch sides in a war that is going on between the Kingdom of God and the great enemy – Satan or Lucifer and his cohorts.
However, we battle not against flesh and blood – it is a spiritual battle that must be fought with spiritual weapons. 1 Peter 5:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” If you want victory, you have to arm yourself. Ephesians 6:12 says “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. Satan is the real enemy you face. He wants to make you completely in effective, fail and turn away from God. His main goal is to steal, kill and destroy. However, the Word of God warns us to be aware of the devices of Satan. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 reads “To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices”.
Brethren, may I appeal to you this morning, that if any brother or sister have wronged you, please forgive him or her so that Satan may not take advantage of you. Satan is crafty, an accuser, an adversary, a thief and a twister of the truth – LIAR! He attacks when you least expect it, when you are already down or when you are making a difference for God’s purposes. He is more concerned about you turning into and having the character of Jesus Christ. When the enemy speaks, we must fight back with the Truth of God’s Word! In Ephesians 6, we are given the armor of God and part of that armor is the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. This is why it is imperative that we arm ourselves with the Truth so that when the enemy does strike we can fight back. We are stronger than our enemy.
PRAYER POINT: Oh God arise now, stop all my enemies before they stop me.
