MATHEW 5:16
Happy Anniversary to all Youths of the Abundant Life family. As children of God you are made to shine, not of your own power, but by the Father’s enablement. You are referred to as “light” and “children of light” You are expected to be the lights shining in the dark places of this world so that others can find their way to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ! You are to let your lights shine before men that God may be glorified. Dear Youths, misspent youth can curse your future. Galatians 6: 7-8 reads “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”. Whatever you do while young can permanently affect your future in this life and even in eternity. Youths often are inclined to rebel against all forms of authority from parents, pastors, Church Head of Departments, teachers and even policemen. Refusal to obey constituted authorities has caused many young ones to be killed or spent years in prison. Romans 13:1-2 reads “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God” the powers that be are ordained of God. “Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation”. Other negative attributes like stealing, lying, joining cultic groups, fornication and use of drugs destroy the later days of one’s life. They lead to miserable adult life with sad consequences of earlier life. The Youths are the future church, city, nation and the world and we must win their souls for Christ. We must pray for them daily and teach them about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Wise youths obey the gospel – (Galatians 3:26-27), grow spiritually, bearing the fruit of the Spirit – (Gal 5:22-24), control their body, become an example of the believers – (1Titus 4:12) and let their light shine. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.
PRAYER POINT. Father, let the lives of our youths shine brightly in this decadent world we live in.
