JOSHUA 1:1-15

What is a Victorious Life? It is NOT a life without temptation or a life of sinless perfection. The Bible says in 1 John 1:8 , “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” What then is a victorious life? It is life of peace and joy in the Lord. It is a life of constant fellowship with the Lord. It is a life of victory over sins—even the so called ‘little sins’, such as temper, fault-finding, irritability, complaining, lack of love, envy, jealousy, unkind words, wrong thoughts, worry, anxiety. It is a life that glorifies the Lord Jesus—the only kind of life that glorifies Him. Any believer can have a victorious life. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:57, “Thanks be to God who GIVES us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Beloved , victory is a gift! It is NOT earned; it is available for you and me just as eternal life is a gift; so a victorious life is a GIFT. How do we receive the gift of a victorious life? First, we must commit ourselves, surrender our life to Christ and secondly take Him (Christ) as our victory, that is, we must accept the free gift a victorious life. The only happy life, the only life that honors the Lord Jesus, is the victorious life. Brethren, take the steps of victory. Commit yourself to Christ, take Him as your victory, your Lord and Savior and trust Him each moment of the day. In every situation, depend on Him because the Lord Jesus will meet all your needs; His grace is sufficient for you. Remain victorious in Jesus Mighty Name!
