Happy Easter to all Christian brothers and sisters all over the world. I pray that the resurrection power of Jesus Christ be ours in Jesus Mighty Name. The celebration of the resurrection has continued for two thousand and eighteen years because despite all the concerted efforts to disprove it, it has withstood the scrutiny of one investigation after another. Beloved, the point that makes Christianity distinctive is that when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, He was raised in an immortal and incorruptible body that can never again die. If there was ever a day that gives us hope, it is resurrection Sunday and that’s why the church gathers week by week on Sunday to celebrate and commemorate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ! We celebrate the resurrection every Sunday. Beloved children of the Most High God, the good news is the story of Jesus and how the events of His life 2018 years ago still have a major impact on us today. The one thing the Church agrees on is this — Jesus rose from the dead. Millions of people have claimed to have met Him. Apostle Paul is very clear about this, that if this didn’t happen, every Christian who has ever lived is to be pitied more than anyone. The resurrection is one thing that gives us hope. For if Christ has been raised, then as Paul says — we, too, shall be raised if we trust Him. By the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we become born again, a new beginning, with the old behind us, including our fears and our guilt. Our sins are dealt with and we are declared righteous. We have a new relationship with Jesus — we can know and love Him even though we don’t see Him with our eyes. Jesus Christ said in John 11:25-26 “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Jesus had died for our sins; now He was being raised up for our justification (Romans 4:25). Brethren, one become a Christian by being united with Christ, putting our trust in Him and taking a public stand — “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus — it really is good news. HAPPY EASTER AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING SUNDAY!!!
PRAYER POINT. Father, let the resurrection power of Jesus Christ be mine.
