2 Corinthians 5: 13-20
The Dictionary defines an Ambassador as “ an official especially a diplomatic agent of the highest rank, accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment. Brethren, from this definition, we can deduce that as an ambassador of Christ, we are on a temporary appointment to represent God here, therefore, ought we not to behave differently? No matter what brought you to Christ, as long as you are in Christ, having accepted Him as your Lord and Master, all He wants from you is for you to be His ambassador in this foreign territory. But how can we truly represent Him if we do the same things the world does? An ambassador of Christ is a person whose life is hidden in Christ Jesus. (2Corinthians 5: 14 – 17. Galatians 2: 20.) The responsibilities of an Ambassador of Christ include being a witness for Him, (Acts 22:15), remind others about the kingdom of heaven (Mathew 10:7) and always present the Kingdom’s vision. He must be an example for others, ( 1 Timothy 4:12) always remember the anthem of the Kingdom -Prayer and ministration of the word, (Acts 6:4) and speak boldly and defend the Kingdom no matter the danger. (Ephesians 6: 20). Every Ambassador must remember that there is no permanent posting and that he can be replaced. Nobody can hold God’s work to ransom. God always has “another man” because, to every Prophet Eli, there is a little Samuel in waiting and to every king Saul, there is David. An Ambassador can always be recalled home at any time and unfortunately, many have been recalled even when they are yet to complete their missions. He can be rejected or disowned like Saul (1 Samuel 15:26) can be abandoned like Samson. (Judges 16:30). The immunity of any Ambassador can be vacated or removed. Beloved children of God, as an Ambassador of Christ, you have your home country’s supports, ( Isaiah 43:2) and all your needs are supplied – you are included in the budget of your nation.(Jeremiah 29 : 11 -13, Philippians. 4:19) You live comfortably because your Principal has everything.( Haggai 2:8) You have influence,( Matthew. 8:9) immunity, (Psalm 91: 7-16) and have honor.(1 Samuel 2:30) The Holy Spirit gives the enabling grace to function for God and stand for the Kingdom.(Zechariah 4:6). Heaven will back you up and defend you as you go this week in Jesus name. PRAISE THE LORD.
