TEXT: ISAIAH 43: 1-19 Brothers and sisters in Christ, the book of Isaiah chapter 43 verses 18-19 says “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” These verses remind us of the ability of our God; He is able to do all that we ever asked for. When God asks “Shall you not know it? He is asking if you and I have our trust in him; if we are open to the new thing He is about to do, if we are ready and willing to embrace it and if we are positioned in the right stand to receive it. Perhaps many of us are distanced from the place that God made for us or intend for us to be at the present moment. We need to search ourselves and make amend if need be. There are requirements for God’s “new thing” to happen in our lives. These requirements include walking in simple obedience, loving and praising the Lord every day and feeding on the word of God constantly. The Lord is calling on us all this year to be open to “a new God-thing”. We must be positioned; ready to embrace and receive it. But are we in the right position, right stand with God to receive all He has in store for us? God’s new thing requires our full participation but it can blow right by us if we are not ready to receive it. God will never force His blessings on anyone. Brethren let us all draw nearer to God; serve Him and invite Him to do a new thing in us. Our God is doing a new thing in the earth and it is coming your way in Jesus name. Amen. PRAISE THE LORD.
