REVELATIONS 4:8-11
WORSHIP is evidence that we fear the Lord. (Psalm 89:7) Worship is what we owe
God and that we acknowledge His worth. He is worth our worship and it is our
first priority towards Him. The first purpose God gave you is to bring Him
pleasure. He made you with the idea of enjoying you: your personality, your
ideas, your appearance and everything unique about you. Worship is not for your
benefit but for God to receive pleasure from your passion and commitment to
Him.
Beloved, our existence is to glorify God. God is worthy to receive glory, for God
is glory itself. He is worthy to receive honor, for He is the essence of honor. He is
worthy to be ascribed power, for he possesses all power. God is the all mighty, all
wise, the infinite, the all perfect one, which causes us to bow before His presence,
and to enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise:
being thankful unto Him, blessing His Name.
The worshipers of heaven are around the great throne the twenty-four thrones
seated by twenty-four elders casting down their golden crowns and falling before
their God giving thanks and glory and singing “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God
Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”. (Revelation 4:8) To glorify God is to
experience joy in heaven as joy pervades heaven, not terror, not sadness. not
grief or hatred or pain.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, our attitude towards God must be holy. Our actions
are to speak louder than our words. if we love Him, we should just sing His
holiness. All creatures in heaven and earth should praise and honor God because
He is the Creator and Sustainer of everything.
PRAYER FOCUS. My Father and my Lord, let my life be one that honors You in all
I say and all I do and in all the circumstances of life.
