STAND IN THE GAP FOR GOD
EZEKIEL 22:30
Today we honor all of our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and all the men who fill such important roles in the lives of our families and our church. Many homes are spiritually and biblically waisted and need more meat on the bones! God has designed the home as the place to pass the baton of faith on to the next generation and desires to bring a Spiritual Awakening to the sin filled land. He’s looking for a man who will stand in the gap! Will you be that man? Ezekiel 22:30 says “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.”
The wall spoken of here is not made of stones, but of faithful people united in their efforts to resist evil. When we give the appearance of loving God without living His way, we are covering up sins that could eventually damage us beyond repair. Do NOT use religion as a whitewash, repair your life by applying the principles of God’s Word. Then you can join with others to stand in the gap and make a difference for God in the world. King Hezekiah did what was right and true in all he did in the house of God with his whole heart and God prospered him, so that there was none like him among all the kings of Judah after him, nor among those who were before him. (2 Chronicles 31:20-21) He led the people of Judah to Spiritual revival. Jeremiah was called the Weeping Prophet because he cried so much over the spiritual darkness that had settled over Israel. God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” We must seek after God with all of our heart.
Brethren, you may feel like you have little or nothing to offer. However, you can pray and offer your support in so many ways to bringing God’s work to pass in the church. Give what you have, bring it to the Lord and watch God multiply it and increase it and bless it beyond measure.
Beloved Men of Valor Fellowship of the Abundant Life Family, allow me to challenge you to attend all Church programs regularly, give generously to the Church, bring new guests to the Church regularly, volunteer joyfully in the Church Departments, share Jesus willingly among friends and co-workers, fellowship among brethren purposely, pray fervently and encourage others faithfully.
Thank God for Godly fathers!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
