PRAISING GOD

PRAISING GOD

Praising God is giving Him the recognition He deserves. It is an expression of worshiping and glorifying the Lord. Psalm 150: 2 enjoins us to “Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness”. The end result of giving God praise is to exalt Him and His name. When we praise God, we humble ourselves and center our attention upon the Lord with heart-felt expressions of love, adoration, and thanksgiving. Praise is an expression of faith and by it we declare that we believe God is with us and He is in control of the outcome of all our circumstances.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, we can praise God in song, prayer, with our body and voice, (Psalm 63:3-4) studying God’s Words, in dance, with our voice and with musical instruments. (Psalm 149:3) We can praise God with our emotions. (Psalm 47:1) Clap your hands, all your nations; shout to God with cries of joy, with our life. 1 Cor. 10:31 says “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”.

Beloved, those who have the attitude of praising God live in abundance. God inhabits our praises (Psalm 22:3), and gives us access to His fullness (Psalm 16:11). God is pleased when we praise Him as that is the main purpose of our creation. (Isaiah 43:21) Praise is about what God is capable of, not what we are capable of. PRAISE THE LORD.

PRAYER POINT: I praise you because you are trustworthy and true. My Father and my Lord. How excellent is your name in which I pray!
