Jehovah introduced Himself to the nation of Israel, through Moses, as the I AM. This name
reveals His sufficiency and capacity to be the Source and Solution for all the needs His people
may have. This revelation was especially relevant to Israel, a nation that had been taught by the
Egyptians to depends on different deities for their different needs. The Omnipotent One sought
to make it know to them and even to us, that He has all the answers to our life’s needs in
Himself. Hence, through their journey, He revealed Himself as Provider, Way-maker, Miracle
Worker, Healer, Deliverer, Protector, Lord of Host, Heavenly Father and much more.

This truth about God is also revealed in Phil. 4:19. The Bible teaches that “God supplies all our
needs according to His riches in glory in Christ”. This is not limited to finances; it is for
everything that qualifies as needs. The role assigned to every child of God is to identify Him as
the All-sufficient Source for every need in every aspect of life. It is that we joyfully embrace
dependence on Him in all things. Our role is to consistently seek to know the endless
possibilities and dimensions available to us in Him. We must live a God-dependent life that is
marked by coming to our Father whenever we have a need and seek to experience His capability
to address that need. Our Father is a God of unlimited resources who is available to meet our
limited needs. Seek to know God is every area of need and see Him surprise you mightily.

Prayer focus: Lord I receive grace to completely depend on You for all my needs. Father reveal
Yourself to me as the Unlimited God at every point of need in Jesus name.
