ARE YOU READY TO BE USED?

ARE YOU READY TO BE USED?

When God asked Adam in the Garden of Eden, the question in Genesis
3:9 Where are you?”, He certainly knew where Adam was hiding. The question
was rather an invitation for Adam to confess the sin he has committed.
Our God reigns and is Omnipotent, Omniscience and Omnipresent. We often hide
from God due to our fears and thoughts of our inabilities to perform some
assignments or fear of failure. God does not ask for or seek for our abilities or
lack thereof, He looks for our availability. God doesn’t call the qualified, He
qualifies the called. God calls the man who is devoted to Him and equips him for
the tasks ahead. ‘But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in
glory by Christ Jesus.’ (Philippians 4:19)

Children of the Most High God, it is wrong in church life if we judge the
qualities of the Christian based on the world’s standards, eloquence, coolness or
success in the academic/business world. Paul, the greatest evangelist in human
history, was totally unfit/unqualified for the job but God chose him. It was God’s
power working through an unqualified but willing man.
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, are you afraid that you may not
have the knowledge/strength or that you may not succeed in your journey of
winning souls for Christ? Isaiah 41:10 says “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be
not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I
will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”. We do not need to
fear; (I am with thee) God’s is with us, (I am thy God) we have a relationship with
God, and (I will uphold thee). His strength, His help, and His victory is ever with
us.

We must stop ourselves from hiding in serving the Lord by trusting in the
Lord, meditating on God’s Word and relying on God’s power to overcome. The
upright place their trust in God. Jeremiah 17:7 says “Blessed is the man that
trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is”. We must trust in Him totally
in each decision we make and utilize the Bible as our guide and follow God’s
guidance. We must create time to study the Bible daily, recognize what God
commands and expects and live as God says in the Bible. 2 Timothy 2:15, ‘Study to
shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.’

Jesus never guaranteed that following Him would be simple. In the event that our
load becomes too heavy, we should trust in Christ to assist us with bearing
it. Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.”

PRAYER POINT. Lord, prepare and make me a vessel of honor in Your vineyard, let
me be an instrument of Your Glory in Jesus Mighty Name. Use me to minister to
those around me.
