TEXT: MATHEW 28:5 – 6
Brothers and sisters in Christ, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is both the foundation and the
capstone of our faith. It is the foundation in that this truth is the cornerstone of our faith. It is
the capstone in that this truth is the highest peak of our faith. Without the resurrection, there is
no Christianity and the grave will be our final destination. However, Jesus rose from the dead
and appeared to His disciples and many others. Mathew 28: 5 reads, “The angel said to the
women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is
not here; He has risen, just as He said.” This was a miracle, an act of God and was impossible
and incomprehensible to the human mind. Only a belief in God can make this comprehensible.
Jesus came not only to save us from our sins; but also, to empower us to live Godly lives that
can look very much like His life. The angel has to calm the women, “Do not be afraid…” (28:5).
When Jesus appeared, His first words were, “Do not be afraid…” (28:10).
The Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemonium has thrown the whole world in to health and
financial crisis. As Christians, our life, our speech, our characters, our reactions, our ways, must
preach the gospel. Even in uncertainty, Jesus brings hope. No matter what looks dead in your
life – remember that your situation didn’t take God by surprise. Matthew 19:26 says “With man
this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Beloved, this should always bring us
piece of mind! God knows everything about everything! The arrival of the Corona Virus in to the
world does not catch Him by surprise. Your panic and anxiety over Corona Virus do not catch
God off-guard or take Him by surprise. He is all knowing and He loves you and cares for you.
God knew you were going to need a miracle before you even knew you had a problem. As the
prayer of faith says in James 5:13, “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone
happy? Let them sing songs of praise”. This should always bring you peace of mind and “not be
afraid”.
Beloved children of the Most High God, stay home, stay safe, practice social distancing, stay
Corona -free and be abundantly blessed. God is faithful, loving and merciful. He is a way-
maker, a miracle worker, a deliverer and a healer.

PRAYER POINT. Our Father and our Lord, please calm our fears, fill us with Your hope, joy, and
peace, heal those who are sick of Corona Virus and protect those who are not and use this
pandemic to pave the way for spiritual revival in the world.
