PSALM 103: 1-5
Praise is to honor, worship or to glorify. Praise expresses admiration,
appreciation and thanks to God. If we hold the Lord in the highest state of respect
and admiration, it will be easy to praise Him. Praise is used to thank God by
Christians and we need to praise God every day of our lives.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, King David was a man of praise because he had
learned of God’s goodness. It is easy to complain about life, but David’s list gives
us plenty for which to praise and thank God. He forgives our sins, heals our
diseases, redeems us from death, crowns us with love and compassion, satisfies
our desires and gives righteousness and justice. It was a good and loving God who
gave David victory over the lion and bear while tending his father’s sheep,
protected him from King Saul, established him as ruler over Israel, gave him
forgiveness when He committed sin and gave him victory over Goliath.
Beloved children of the Most High God, no matter how difficult your life’s
journey, you can always count your blessings, past and present. When you feel
there is nothing for which to praise god, turn to Psalm 103 and read David’s list.
Praise the Lord!
PRAYER POINT: Lord teach me to praise you no matter what I am facing.
