Praising God is giving Him the recognition He deserves and thus exalting His Name. Praise is a celebration characterized by rejoicing, singing, shouting, uplifted hands, clapping and dancing. Praise should be habitual, not on Sunday morning only, but your life should be one of habitually praising God. Praise is a lifestyle, a choice that no matter what is going on in your life, you will give God glory. Praise is one of the most vital links for us to connect with God. It helps us complete God’s primary purpose for creating us, which is to glorify Him. Praise helps us give greater thanks to God for what He has done for us and other members of the body of Christ. People who praise the Lord develop a deeper hunger for the knowledge of God.
Beloved, we are to render praise to God in a manner which is in proportion to His greatness and glory. Psalm 150: 2 “Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness”. We are to Praise God for His mighty acts in creation of the world. Psalms 33:6 says ” By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.” We are to praise Him for His mighty acts in provision and for His mighty acts in redemption. His love and grace are most clearly demonstrated in redemption of man.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus said that He came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. It begins with praise. Praise puts the evil to flight, opens the doors of jail, quench the appetite of a lion as of Daniel in the lions’ den and defeats the enemy. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard. Praise is your weapon. In the midst of circumstances, praise Him, in the midst of crisis, praise Him, in the midst of confusion, praise Him. Praise the Lord when you got nothing else and you will see victories in your life.
PRAISE THE LORD.
