PRAISING GOD IN TOUGH TIMES.

PRAISING GOD IN TOUGH TIMES.

Beloved children of the Most High God, praise is a great and sure method we can use to bring peace,
healing and deliverance to our souls and bodies during this tough time. Many people are anxious and
panicky today due to the Corona Virus pandemic. One of the quickest ways to receive deliverance
and peace from anxiety and panic is to praise God. The Psalmist, David wrote in Psalm 42:11 “Why, my
soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my
Savior and my God”. We must make our souls bless the Lord when we are not feeling well. It will bring
peace and healing.

During periods of hardship and pandemic as the world is going through now, it is easy to forget
about people in Scripture who went through trials in life. God will help us in our time of need just like He
helped others. King Saul was jealous of David’s military victories and his popularity. He hated him so
much that he planned to kill him. David prayed for guidance and God answered and protected him. He
“found strength in the Lord” in difficult circumstances (1 Sam. 30:6). David prayed for protection in
times of danger, and was ready to sing hymns of praise for God’s love and loyalty. (Ps. 57:1,9-10). He
begged to be protected from his enemies, yet he sang of God’s strength and love. (Ps. 59:1,16). When
he laid all his worries and troubles before the Lord, he looked forward to being able to praise God for His
goodness (Ps. 142:2,7).

As the outbreak of a virus sweeps the world, we must move from an attitude of panic and fear to
one of praise and worship. During the week, a friend sent me a video of Brazilians in quarantine
singing the Christian hymn “Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow.” COVID-19 should bring us to
our knees praising God for who He is. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 we are told to, “Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The Lord tells us here that we are to have an attitude of joy, thanksgiving and prayer at all times, no
matter what the conditions or circumstances or Corona pandemic that surround us. At the times of our
lives when everything looks like in crisis as we have now, we should bring our needs to God in prayer.
Then as we realize God’s power, love and goodness this should lead to praise and thanksgiving. Our God
is bigger, stronger and mightier than Corona virus. PRAISE THE LORD!

PRAYER POINT. Our Father and our Lord, please cover us with the blood of your son and guard and
shield us from the Corona Virus. We beg You to halt the spread of this disease and to grant total and
complete healing and comfort to those who are sick and afflicted with this virus.
